New Zealand: Day 4

Tuesday, June 12, 2007

Day 4, 5th June 2007
packed, cleaned up and left that motel..
then we headed for McLarens Falls..

it was a meandering river which was soo cool.. again, do read up on meanders as it is interesting too.. we measured the gradient, cross sectional area and water flow of the river.. the water was icy cold..

trying really hard to act cute..

soon, we were off to the animal farm..
each of us got a packet of food to feed the animals there..

Kai Beng (kambing) feeding his relatives..

us helping too..

then there was this particular horse which i made comparisons to this person..

emo horse

and
emo boy

lol, then we were off for lunch by the river.. where we took more photos..

again, i wanna make a comparison..
here is brendan without aneesa.. (looking soo dead)

and brendan with aneesa.. (grinning happily)

see how his expression changes? i dunno wad to say except, pictures dun lie..

anyway, after lunch, we went flax planting.. its actually C.I.P. through conservation and cultural immersion.. that is where eric PUT HIS HANDS ON THE BUS!!!! ill be glad to tell you the story personally if u dont already know it.. (but c'mon, practically the whole world knows about it larr)

lastly, we went to the Maori marae where we spent the night there.. we were introduced to their culture and protocols.. all of us slept in their ancestor's body.. lol.. really..

after dinner, there was this performance thingy.. the Maoris sang their song and danced..
then the girls put their hands on their hips and the boys did the Haka -a warrior dance- super uncool..

then just before we slept, yess, we did towel dry our hair and write our reflections.. lol..
kirunga... kirunga..
