Project H20 Safety

i woke up early and went down to east coast today..

The Singapore Management University (SMU), together with the Singapore Lifesaving Corps organised a water safety roadshow, Project H20 safety..

The SMU people set up a booth outside our lifesaving hut.. They were giving away balloons, pens, sunblock and other goodies to people who did their surveys on water awareness.. (ps: i did the survey!!!) there was even a ducky mascot..

well, i was doing the lifesaving demonstration.. so i practiced a bit then it was show tym!!

lots of people were staring at us.. i did the rope throw rescue and the accompanied rescue with aid..

then it was lunch tym.. definitely McDonalds..

so, while i was on my way to McDonalds, the guy from SMU was saying into the microphone, "it's a bright and sunny saturday, do come down to the roadshow where we will be giving away balloons and other freebies and do check out the lifesaving demonstration by our hunky lifeguards who will be topless later" and im lyk, wth!!

after lunch, we slacked at the beach while waiting for our next demonstration slot..

while waiting, i and one small boy went kayaking.. it was soo fun.. but the boy was afraid to go so far.. wth.. he's such a spoiler larr.. doesnt noe how to turn.. only goes forward.. so we had a bit of a difficulty.. if i knew he was lyk that, i would have taken the single kayak lorr..

anyway, during the second demonstration i did the kayak capsize drill.. fun fun fun..

then we continued slacking at the beach, waiting for our last demonstartion slot.. then it finally came and this tym i was the victim..

we then cleaned up and stuff.. the SMU people gave us the excess freebies.. but ther was no more balloons.. oh yar, then this guy did smtg cool.. he sucked in the helium from the balloon and his voice sorta 'became cute' when he talked.. then he sang the lonely song by Akon.. cool!

i met up with Lauren after that.. we thought of going blading or cycling but it was going to rain, so we didnt take the risk.. instead, we went to Noveena, United Square 2.. hanged around for a little while, then we headed home..
